公共空間中的「坐」客分佈
當人潮逐漸開始填滿空間，我們發現人們並不會選擇均勻的分佈在空間中，而是「人擠人」–往人多的地方聚集。似乎有一種隱而不顯的規範，影響著人們的在物理空間中的即時選擇，以此決定公共空間中的有效容量。這並不是數字統計，也無法透過圖表呈現。這是一種質性面向的考量：什麼樣的空間讓人們感到舒適、讓人們想或不想久待–也牽涉到不同人的個別差異。
Sitters Distributing
When a space begins to fill up, people don’t distribute themselves evenly over it; they go where other people are.There seems to be a norm that influences peoples choices as much as the immediate physical space. Thus is effective capacity determined. It’s not statistic, nor can it be expressed only in figures. And there are qualitative aspects to consider – whether people are comfortabel, leave quickly or tarry – that can be quite different for people.
