公園的階梯
階梯是進出公園很重要的空間暗示。這些階梯需要同時在空間的物理與心理情境上具低矮並邀請性的特質。許多無人使用的廣場與公園，入口雖然只比街區內的公園高一些些，但由於其清晰的邊界感與欄杆，常常在使用者的認知上塑造比其實際高度高，給人高高在上、不具空間曖昧性、難以親近的印象。
Steps of Parks
Steps are a very important factor for entering the park or not. They should be low and inviting, both psychologically and physically. The squares and parks that people don’t use, are often only one foot higher than other similar parks in the neighbourhood. Because of the sharply defined edges and firm railings, it often seems much higher than it really is. Then there is no ambiguity; no dawdling up.
